Alain Plouffe Jazz

… IS LIKE A BUS DRIVER!

ALAIN PLOUFFE, who’s is Thailand right now, found a way to play his drums there too.  He has I don’t know how many sets of drums that he leaves set up where he jams regularly.  This way he can just walk in and sit in the driver’s seat.  His musician friends love jamming with him.  He makes it an adventure full of surprises, an exciting journey!  But for now, Alain is enjoying a well deserved vacation with his wife and he’s even learning Thai cooking!

Here’s PART 2 of his most interesting article.  ENJOY!

No.5)  How do you feel when you play?

By giving them a good solid groove, lots of things happen along the way: interactions, changes of direction or groove, it’s like watching a movie. I always think of expressing my spiritual joy.

No. 6)  Do you identify yourself to your music?

It’s automatic, you must give a lot of  love as we are all connected by the Spirit that is love and all that is positive. My responsibility is to bring forth the light within us and from there, things appears as if by magic. But it is notDSCF1556 magic, it’s just natural., I have the same responsibility each and every day: to consciously connect with this light that we all  have within ourselves.

No. 7)  Under what conditions do you do your best work?

The best thing is to be aware that my spirit is above all and takes care of everything. So no matter the situation I am placed in, my spirit makes sure the essence comes forth and   in the end we all have illuminated smiles, our energy is recharged, that we are in a supreme state. With this awareness and this work, we feel deeply that we really are creators, what extreme joy!

No. 8)   Does music helps you connect to your higher self?

For me, my higher self is Spirit. Everything comes from the Spirit therefore playing consciously always keeps me in contact.. Even everyday in all that I do it is the same recipe. Everything comes from the Spirit and with it everything is possible, we can move mountains. It forces me live in the now, the present., everything is happening in the here and now,  one stroke at a time to infinity,  isn’t it wonderful!

No. 9)  What is jazz for you ?

Jazz is a state of being in the creative field of possibility with minimal planning and maximum creation, therefore of musical growth in a state of joy!

Alain, I want to thank you for being part of this project and for this wonderful interview.  Until we meet again, be blessed!

ORIGINAL FRENCH VERSION:

No.5)  Comment te sens-tu quand tu joues?

No. 7)   Dans quelles conditions fais-tu ton meilleur travail?

No. 8)   La musique t’aide-t-elle à te brancher à ton toi supérieur?

About

My name is Michele Andree. I am an artist, I paint musicians in action. I think I’m a musician at heart, my instrument being… a brush, so I play…brush and I paint… music.
I love jazz. I call it freedom music. It promotes special values. I love intelligent people and good conversations.

Some people ask me how music relates to art. Personally I find they go hand in hand. Music is what turns me on to painting. It makes me see colours
