PERUVIAN FOLK ART & FAIRY TALES!
Growing up in Trujillo, Peru, JOAN LOUIS, has been influenced by art and music since early childhood. His father is also an artist. Joan loved watching his father paint. His desire to paint became so strong in later years that he ultimately gave up teaching and performing music to follow his heart. “With painting, says Joan, I have chosen my own path and in doing so, I choose the path of freedom. I express with color what I hear in my heart.”
Joan, welcome and thank you for participating in this project. I hope I have translated correctly and not distorted the meaning of your words. If I have, I apologize however, your art says it all. Lets us begin with the first question:
No. 1) What is art, painting to and for you?
Art is a way of life. It gets better every time you are focused and connected with the universe and energy . Art has been in my family for a long time and I have been working every day to achieve perfection between soul and body.
No. 2) What inspires you?
Life, nature, love, light, spiritual art.
No. 3) When you are creating, painting, where does it take you? I mean where does your mind (spirit) travel?
It is in an unreal world, where I can see and feel my experiences … I have been travelling a lot and it is why experiences come from the inside of me… my soul, heart, mind, philosophy.
No. 4) Do you think visual art, music and health are related and if so, how do you see that?
Yes. they all make you focus and help you spiritually.
No. 5) When you are creating, painting, how do you feel? How does it make you feel?
I feel a connection with nature, spirit, harmony and landscape all around , I feel in another world, completely free, the forms are in the canvas, I just draw them…. the colours are what I feel… It is like a ritual to me, music, smell all in harmony with me … I become creative.
No. 6) Do you identify with your subjects, with your art and if yes, on what level?
I identify with the animals… like myself and friends or parents.. I write my story on canvas. It is my life… I do it every single day in a professional way.
No. 7) When do you do your best work? (Environment i.e. alone, day, night, in silence, with music…)
I do it during the day specially in the afternoon, when I am alone, with special music.. and I burn incense and my studio is completely clean . It is very important to me that the studio be very clean and really smell good… like plants and rose incense.
No. 8) You may have answered this question in part, but does your art help you connect with your higher self, whatever that is for you? Please explain?
I am an spiritual man who is looking for Nirvana., like Madre Teresa, Jesus Christ, Buddha, Ghandi, etc,…. I travel and meet new cultures and study them. My work is very special, it is a spiritual thing. My art expresses harmony, peace, hope. I work with my mind and spirit to find a high level…

Excellent post! I am just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it nicely – resources like this post are incredibly helpful. As our company is dependent in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as nicely, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the truth that your item is useful in that case.
