MIROSLAVA’S MYSTERIOUS WAYS!

 MIROSLAVA2

MIROSLAVA SEVCIK.  Miroslava is my first name (old Slavonic name, celebrating glory of peace).   “I’m devoted to art since  my childhood, I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava. I live in Bratislava – capital city of Slovak Republic – in the heart of Europe!  I spend some time in Dublin and Roma. I participated in several exhibitions around  Europe, and I guess, what will be the next thing happening in my life … I’d love to go to USA!”

Miroslava, welcome and thank you so much for participating in this project.  Your answers are so thorough that you have succeeded in answering all my questions within the first four.  Your art is truly amazing and I am sure readers will enjoy what you are sharing with us as much as I do.  So let us begin:

No. 1) What is art, painting to and for you?Mysterious_ways_6

Art for me is especially painting, the closest, most certain and fair way of self-expression … once my friend asked me:  what language do you speak in your world? and I answered: colors and emotions, energies and vibrations…

I think art is one of the highest modes of communication. And I believe, I‘ve invented a new unique way of expressing my visions in paintings, combining airbrush techniques with very suggestive gestures. MYSTERIOUS WAYS is the message of my artwork. I titled it by infinite and unlimited research in communication and possibilities of discovering boundaries of these two forms on surface (canvas). I’m fascinated by power of colours – substance – the handling of the brush on canvas and on the other side superfine, ephemeral records done by airbrush … creating a gorgeous scale of tones and semitones – a certain rhythm, a way of approaching very exciting long-term research. Let me add that I’m just at the beginning of a long journey. Every new painting convinces me that limits are not settled and it’s possible to go even deeper and deeper … hard to say where to … but I’m sure, I’m ready to follow the way till the very end … this is my mission in life.

Mysterious_ways_35 No. 2)  What inspires you?

… all aspects of daily life inspire me: people that cross my path, either personally or via my paintings; music; literature; old and new art-masters; my friends, a professor who opened my eyes and was one of my master teachers; and then it is nature that inspires me … I think that everything from our ordinary lives imprints us .. makes a footprint … in our minds and consciousness which activates ideas, reflections, in my case also feelings and intention to walk in to the studio and stand before the canvas…

No. 3)  When you are painting, creating, where does it take you?

I mean to say where does your mind travel?

In my paintings I explore and discover the possibility of perception, overstepping the form of the commonly seen, and “the things behind the scene“. My paintings embody a visualization of my soul, the flow of energies, and strong emotions exploding on the surface are contrasting with a dreamy and sensitive heart. When I open the doors of the studio I have a strong urge to paint. I’m pulled by the smell of colours – acrylic. The white of canvas challenges me, and in those moments I forget the whole real world,  space ceases to exist and all that remains is the place, I’m at, that moment and Mysterious_ways_38colours … in my work I follow intuition, feelings, choosing colours … I use Alla Prima style of painting … How to describe my feelings during painting? It’s difficult to describe, but sometimes it is whirling me in – and you can’t resist, and go into absolute ecstasy – obsessed and connected with higher energies, feelings almost like in trance … I could say, I enter out of the place with my consciousness, and these records I transmit to canvas through painting … I have to add, that I do not use drugs nor wine … I need clean mind … there are also bad days when the more I try the worse it is and sometimes have feelings on the edge of agony … this is true, artists know these opposed polarities and these feelings move on. When I look at my paintings, they are a certain form of a diary … I always know what I was feeling, living, dreaming, when I was painting them … artist is giving his/her soul into partial records … retaining it in “preserved“ energy inside the paintings. Hope for giving some of my visions through the spectators and intermediate them to understand the journey of my world, and enrich their own.

No. 4)  Do you think art, music and health are related and if so, how do you see that?Mysterious_ways_48

Certainly yes … the music is a form of art, together with painting, the sculpture, the architecture, etc. … all these are great ways of self-expression, reflection, transferring information into messages. This is a very good question, to me, it is not easy to answer … paintings could cheer up, harmonize the human soul and bring certain vibrations through visual sensation, emotional hit … the music could pleasantly influence the human, relax, cleanse the mind … I would say about flow of energies, but about their different forms resulting into inspiring soul its’ harmonization, and in some cases: treatment of human soul through connection with the Universe.

Miroslava, thank you for this most fascinating journey into your world.  I look forward to working with you again in the future.  Until then, my friend, be blessed!

In one word: Unique!
Way ahead of her peers and anything close to the current perception of “abstract art” – setting new standards and breaking boundaries. Keen to see more coming up!

Your paintings are truly beautiful and original. It was an amazing and enlightening experience to read your article. Thank you for sharing your feelings and art….Cecelia

An explosion of energy blended together with a deep spiritual note, like a message from universe, your paintings uncover the unknown dimensions…
Just can’t stop looking at them!
I really enjoyed reading the article, I think it helped me to understand your artwork even more.
I wish you all the best and the acknowledgment of your art worldwide. It’s the ART that must bee seen, no doubt!

Vos toiles sont rafraichissantes, énergisantes… superbe !

Your artwork is amazing. With the muted backgrounds and the dynamic foregrounds, your paintings seem to have so much energy, yet they also seem like they have captured momentum and frozen it in time.

About

My name is Michele Andree. I am an artist, I paint musicians in action. I think I’m a musician at heart, my instrument being… a brush, so I play…brush and I paint… music.
I love jazz. I call it freedom music. It promotes special values. I love intelligent people and good conversations.

Some people ask me how music relates to art. Personally I find they go hand in hand. Music is what turns me on to painting. It makes me see colours
