When painting from ourselves and our own feelings, the painting we create becomes a shock or a revelation for anyone not wearing “Art History” blinders. How lucky to have rebelled and been able to keep the soul of a child playing and inventing magical worlds out of nothing!”

Thank you so much for participating in this project and thank you for the beauty you allow our eyes to behold. Here are my questions:

1/ What is art to and for you?

Art makes us explore and discover what we are unaware of, it allows us to enter our intimate, unseen and unknown spaces.

Art must bridge the present and future, and help allay our fears with the love that radiates from it.

Art allows me to envision my parallel world, colourful poetry of the human being without any language barrier. This is the most powerful means of communication because it is universal.

2/ What inspires you?

-If it is not “Life” then I do not see what else! -On my part I will not speak of inspiration, but rather of the search for a form of inner tranquility leading to the need to paint.

3 / When you are painting, creating where does it take you? Where does your mind travel?

“I arrive totally ” empty ” before the canvas so as to capture my unknown self and accept without restriction that it take possession of the brushes. “I see while painting, but I paint blind.

“I enter the space offered by the canvas, in reckless abandon, allowing myself to be guided without interference by the intense joy of creation and I am quickly immersed in a soothing medley of colors. It feels almost schizophrenic, but delicious!

I greet the painting, it penetrates me and is experienced by my body and mind, then stratified in me and then is integrated with what I am. The exhilarating race of creation ends only with the return of my “Visible self”. The end result matters little, only the moment of creation is important.

4 / Do you think visual art, music and health are related and if so why?

Of course, visual arts, music, etc … are the food of the soul, there cannot be a healthy body without a healthy and well fed mind!

Art, since immemorial times, has been a way of conversing with the gods, it is necessary for life is not enough!

N ° 5 / When you are painting, creating, how do you feel?

In a state of exalted schizophrenia and then in a state of peace and lightness. I am totally disconnected from the present and the world around me.

No. 6 / Do you identify with your subject?

We can not identify to something we are discovering, I feel like a archaeologist in the midst of inner excavations, this belongs to me and is in me but I do not identify with my work … it’s ambiguous!

No. 7/ When do you do your best work?

Through painting I achieve inner calm, peace (which avoids me going to psychologists !!!!), I wait until my spirit really needs it. Furthermore, there are no good or bad paintings, only finished or unfinished. And to take even further, a good painting is a sold painting!!!

No. 8 / Does painting help you connect with your higher self?

With the various “extreme sports” that I have, or that I practice, the answer is yes. With painting I seem to have more the impression of penetrating into the infinitely small or large, a sort of step in the fourth dimension.

“Jeunes enfants, nous étions tous des “artistes”, mais voilà, l’éducation et la culture nous ont formatés et une maison a dû ressembler à une maison, le classique étant la seul seule “vraie” musique, etc… Quelle chance d’avoir été rebelle et conservé cette âme d’enfant capable d’inventer, en s’amusant, des mondes “magiques” avec rien!”

1/ Qu’est-ce que l’art pour vous?

– L’art nous fait explorer et découvrir ce dont nous ne sommes pas conscients, il nous permet de pénétrer nos espaces intimes invisibles et inconnus.

– L’art se doit de jeter un pont entre le présent et le devenir, et permettre d’apaiser nos angoisses par l’amour qui en rayonne.

– L’art me permet de visualiser mon monde parallèle, poésie colorée de l’humain sans barrière de langage. C’est le moyen le plus formidable de communication car il est universel.

2/ Qu’est-ce qui vous inspire?

– Si ce n’est la “Vie” je ne vois pas!

– Pour ma part je ne parlerai pas d’inspiration, mais plutôt de la recherche d’une forme de repos intérieur amenant au besoin de peindre.

3/ Lorsque vous créez, où cela vous amène-t-il? Où voyage votre esprit?

– J’arrive totalement “vide” devant la toile pour capter mon moi inconnu et accepter sans restriction qu’il prenne possession des pinceaux. ” Je vois en peignant, mais je peins en aveugle”.

– J’entre dans l’espace de la toile dans un abandon insouciant, me laissant guider sans contrarier par l’intense bonheur de la création et baigne très vite dans un fouillis apaisant de couleurs, c’est une sensation quasiment schizophrénique, mais délicieuse!

– J’accueille la peinture, elle me traverse, elle est vécu par mon corps et mon esprit, puis se stratifie en moi et se trouve intégré à ce que je suis. La course enivrante de la création ne s’achève qu’au retour de mon “moi visible”.

Le résultat final m’importe peu, seul le moment de création est important.

4/ Croyez-vous que les arts visuels, la musique et la santé sont reliés?

– Bien sûr, les arts visuels, la musique, etc… sont les nourritures de l’âme, il ne peut y avoir de corps sain sans esprit sain et bien nourris!!!

– L’art depuis la nuit des temps a été une manière de converser avec les dieux, il est nécessaire car la vie n’est pas assez!

N°5/ Vous avez en quelque sorte peut-être déjà répondu à cette question mais comment vous sentez-vous lorsque vous peignez?

– Dans un état de schizophrénie exaltée et ensuite dans un état de repos et de légèreté.

– Je suis totalement déconnecté du présent et du monde qui m’entoure.

N°6/ Est-ce que vous vous identifiez à vos sujets et si oui, à quel niveau?

– On ne peut pas s’identifier à quelque chose que l’on découvre, je me sens comme un archéologue en pleine fouilles intérieures, cela m’appartient et est en moi mais je ne m’identifie pas à ma peinture…c’est ambigu!

N°7/ À quel moment faites-vous votre meilleur travail?

– Par la peinture j’atteins le “repos intérieur” (ce qui m’évite d’aller voir des psychologues!!!!),

– J’attends le moment où mon esprit en a réellement besoin, de plus il n’y a pas de bonne ou mauvaise toile, il n’y a que des toiles achevées ou inachevées. Et pour aller encore plus loin, une bonne toile est une toile vendue!!!!

N°8/ Est-ce que la peinture vous aide à vous « connecter » à votre « Je » supérieur?

– Avec les différents “sports extrêmes” que j’ai, ou que je pratique, la réponse est oui.

– Avec la peinture il me semble plus avoir l’impression de rentrer dans l’infiniment petit ou grand, une sorte de pas dans la quatrième dimension.
