COLOURS, SOUND, SHAPES, CRYSTALS, HARMONY, PEACE!

I first came across Laureen Warrington’s art by chance and immediately asked her if she’d like to participate in my article project.  Then I discovered much, much more.  Laureen Warrington and her soul mate Michael Korotschenko have created something quite extraordinary which you will be able to visit via their link.  They call it the Mission and the centre is situated in France.  They combine music, art, and a dome shape room where one can experience something profound and perhaps life changing.

I have had some difficulty in deciding under what topic to publish theirm-mission article because it covers everything, art, music, health and it is impossible to separate one from the other.  So, in the end, I’ve decided to publish under health and wellness.

Welcome Laureen Warrington and Michael  Korotschenko.  We did this article some time ago and it is high time it be published.  I want to thank you for participating and as we’ve combined everything, let’s get started.

My first question is addressed to you Laureen:

1)  What is art to you?

Art is the translation of the Creator made tangible to others in many forms.

2) What inspires you?

The colour in nature, plants and all creatures, the sky and music inspires me the most.

3) When you’re in the process of painting, where does it take you?  I mean where does your mind travel?

The moment you pay close attention to something, you feel its beauty.  Re-creating it makes it feel very close to the heart and somehow people pick up the energy.

 4) Do you feel painting, music and health are related?

We talk in depth about this in the M-Project.  Sound has an impact on us as do colours.  When one is in a state of dis-ease, sound and colours can help harmonise, rather like tuning a guitar.

 5) How do you feel when you are creating, painting?

The Silent Kingdom series is a total synergy between Michael and I.  We are Cancer ascendant Scorpio and the number 19 archetype energy.  We feel we are in our true mission.

twin soulsCrystals store energy and are able to transmit.  These pictures are transformative and reflective.  Opals, for example, will reflect the emotional system as they are made up of water.  We go back to our origins as they have been found to contain traces of dinosaur fossils.  Others will reflect earth qualities.

We feel in tune with each stone that we choose to work with.

6)  Do you identify with your subject and if so, on what level? Could you elaborate?

As I mentioned above, we feel in tune with each stone.  One may go by unnoticed for a while and then one day, it catches my attention and I get the feeling to work with it.  We then work together and magic happens.

I have an affinity with stones and this love makes it possible to connect with them.  It is the higher self coming through that makes this communion.

7)  When do you do your best work?

As soon as Michael puts music on we get creative!  There are also some sounds that activate the creative flow or a certain chosen energy centre.  The best work comes when we are in tune with this, simply feeling the beauty of the stone and letting it come through.

8)  Does painting, creating help you connect with your higher self?  Please elaborate.

There is always a connection with the Higher Self.  Emotions or thoughts surface freely with no rules and then something beautiful takes shape.

It keeps the mind open and the heart open, healing all dis-ease.  I believe the crystals have many messages for humankind to see and understand.  They can help us to transform kept emotions and free ourselves.

Favourite Pictures:

Twin Souls – “”… and when one of them meets the other half, the actual half of intimacy the pair are lost in an amazement of love and friendship and intimacy and one will not be out of the other’s sight even for a moment…””

Plato.

The inner and the outer sound – “”There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.””

Pythagoras

The empress’s dream – “We shall therefore borrow all our Rules for the Finishing our Proportions, from the Musicians, who are the greatest Masters of this Sort of Numbers, and from those Things wherein Nature shows herself most excellent and complete.” Leon Battista Alberti (1407-14

And now I have a few questions about you’re the Mission project.

Laureen, Michael,  I know it is all described on your website and that all can read it for themselves.  Just the same I would like your personal views, in layman’s terms, on why you feel this can have a beneficial effect on health and on what level.  Could you tell me a bit about it?

Mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When we are totally relaxed as in a state of meditation the brain waves are in theta state.  This increases creativity, enhances learning, reduces stress and awakens intuitive skills. Delta waves which occur in sleep and profound relaxation provide deep feelings of peace.

The use of sound and colour to balance and align the human energy system known as the chakras has been used in Hindu Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. We have designed this system using this knowledge combined with high technology. In today’s world we move very fast and have stressful lives. This is an ideal place to go and relax, recuperate and refresh one’s self. It is also an opportunity to go deep within the self and clear ideas that no longer serve us so that we replace them with positive thoughts.

2) What ever gave you the idea of giving it the form that is has, the dome shape?

Domes are an art form in themselves. They are energy enhancing shapes creating endlessness like the sky. The sphere is a comforting perfect shape The empress's dreamand when combined with sound and colour it makes an ideal space for profound relaxation.

3) Do you have concrete examples of how it has actually helped people?

Concrete examples are seen as the person arrives feeling tired and stressed with traffic, work, life and after an hour they feel rested and more centered.

4)  How did this whole concept come to you?

When I have visited places like spas I often noticed that you are always aware of  the outside influences, I wanted to design a place where one could go in alone or in a group, and once in this space forget the outer world. A place of beauty and peace to renew oneself.

I combined the knowledge of ancients by using sacred shapes that enhance well being, placing crystals in strategic points to enhance the shape. The people who work with visuals and sound loved the concept and became involved adding more passion to the project so that it has grown in a pure way. We are thinking of every detail to nourish the senses…all the senses!

We don’t want to give it all away now, but it will be an unforgettable experience.

This system is being designed to adapt to private homes or on a larger scale for hotels, spas etc.

Laureen, Michael, I want to thank you for granting me this most interesting interview.  I will definitely visit the Mission project the next time I’m in France.  Good luck in all your endeavours and be blessed, you are doing something very worthwhile and needed in our societies these days.

About

My name is Michele Andree. I am an artist, I paint musicians in action. I think I’m a musician at heart, my instrument being… a brush, so I play…brush and I paint… music.
I love jazz. I call it freedom music. It promotes special values. I love intelligent people and good conversations.

Some people ask me how music relates to art. Personally I find they go hand in hand. Music is what turns me on to painting. It makes me see colours
